National Park After Dark
4.5
(1.1K)
2025
Hosted by two friends who share a passion for the wilderness and a fascination with what can go wrong there, each week hosts Danielle and Cassie explore the darker side of our National Parks and explore these treasured places in a whole new way - because behind the iconic arches and towering trees lie layered histories, grisly encounters, extraordinary stories of survival, tragic ends and so much more. But it isn’t always chills and thrills. By sharing inspiring tales and their desire for protecting our planet’s wild places, they hope the show will inspire listeners to lace up their own hiking boots and take a walk into the wild to create meaningful adventures of their own.

"This podcast does a fantastic job at informing you about the parks and covering a range of topics from ghosts to cryptids to crime and accidents. As well as sometimes informing listeners of really important information to know about certain situations. Like what to do if you’re staring down a lion, or hanging on the edge of a mountain unsure of an avalanche about to knock you over. "

"Love ❤️ these gals, they have such great stories that I have never heard of before and they make you feel like you’re in the room with them how they put everything together. They banter, but it’s not about dumb things or overdoing it, they really show how much they care about their audience and give great information. I have been binge listening to them for the past couple weeks and they really help get me through my shift at work. "
"Great hosts breathe life into natural spaces around the globe and recount the haunting stories of those who went into the woods and never came out again. Was it nature that caught up to these victims or was it the evil hearts of human kind? Not everything is doom and gloom though as some fantastic survival stories are retold and make me less terrified of hiking!"
"Really enjoyed the stories. Ranged from murders to rescues. "
