ATHANASIOS DEATHThis book describes almost perfectly the struggles of poor people and the things that are wrong with current economics and the way they work and how it brings about revolt or ‘the grapes of wrath’. People who are hungry will do anything to eat but if too many are allowed to go hungry, if too many starve, there will be no choice but to fight for food.

ATHANASIOS DEATHRead it in one sitting, I liked how it kind of went full circle with it beginning by the pond and ending right there. The foreshadowing with the old dog too and the repetition plays into the story incredibly well. Steinbecks writing just has something so enthralling to it.

ATHANASIOS DEATHAn incredible autobiography illustrating the struggles and experiences of people of colour and women in general. The faculties of the judicial system and the obstacles victims face when bringing their assailant to justice among many, many other things. Absolutely beautifully written

ATHANASIOS DEATHI understood the book and the experiences of the main character on a visceral level. It was definitely an interesting read although its not something i would usually read. It went through a very linear line of events which is not the problem, the problem was that it was all very try clear cut. Now this isnt necessarily a bad thing, its just that Im used to flowery language and expression through words and while it got pretty close to that in the train sequence and in the turning point or climax of the story where Christopher finds out what his father had been hiding, it wasnt close enough throughout the rest of the book for me to find it super engaging. It was definitely a good book but I cant imagine myself reading it again.
