Crystal GrayI am not gonna lie. I’m a podunk white girl who grew up in Illinois but 5 hours away from Chicago. I have fewer than 20 friends of color. This show has taught me so much about diversity, and what it means to struggle in different ways than I have. At the same time, I identify with so much about this show. Broken, dysfunctional families, family you want to disown. Friends who are like family. Growing up feeling lost, and figuring out a lot about life as we grow. This show is touching, heartbreaking even, but also funny and lighthearted at times. I can’t wait to meet the new babies next season!
