Serena3.5⭐️ I liked Resist better thanThe first one, Breathe. Over all theCharacters were better, the romance wasBetter, and thePlot wasMore interesting. But theEndingWas quiteBad. SPOILERS AHEAD In theFirst book ofThis duology I didn't like theMain characters at all.I couldn't care less if Bea and Quinn endedUp together or whatHappened to any ofThem. In Resist I actullay started toLike the characters, including Ronan who wasGiven a POV. the bookWas pretty goodAll the wayUp until theEnding. The endingFelt highly unrealistic andRushed. The last battleSeemed ridiculously easy and therefore quiteLame.(Not toMentionSaving thoseBabies)TheWhole book hadBuilt up toThis momentOnly for theWholeThing to just fallFlat. Alina, Silas and Ronan basically defeated the whole Sequoian army by themselves without any trouble at all. The wholeBattle basically went like this: "Oh no, they are gonnaDestroy the air recycling stations! We better hurry and get there" "Pew pew." "Yay, we saved the South station.... now we saved the North Station. Now we need to go save the mainStation." "Oh no a bad guy. Pew. Oh no a bomb." "Yay! We saved the most important station and now thisWhole hugeWar we've been fighting for ages is over and we won!" I'm honestlySurprised that AlinaDied ifOnly forThe factThat theCharacters had such a ridiculous amount ofLuck and plot armor that I didn't think it was possible. IDid feel sadThat she died. Also theBook was a bitAll over thePlace. One minute Quinn wasCarrying a hugePack ofSupplies, andThe next he's off trying to findHis dying fatherWhile hisGroup does......yk,I don'tknow. It's likeIt abandons one string ofPlot for anotherBut thenJust neverComes backto the firstString. The sortOf epilog at the endWas horrendous. It toldMe NOTHING about anyOf the loseEnds and stringThat wasLeft dangling allOver thePlace. What about Bea and Maude reuniting. WhatHappens to Silas,Vanya,LennonAnd Keane,WendyWho I'm prettySure theyNeverSaved,Jazz,theMinistry,TheGroupW/theKids?YDGTK
SerenaI loved, loved, loved this book. I don't know what to say other than it CURED something in my soul. I was giddy, and giggling, and swooning. This book just genuinely made me happy. Simple as that. I definitely recommend reading it if you want to just feel good. And the humor was on point.
