My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World!

"The beginning actually hooked me I was invested in how this would continue. What came after episode 2 was not at all what I hoped. The show I came across was a very bland story with subpar suspension but adorable slime creatures. Sadly they cannot keep me hoping for season 2. The main guy I'd very boring and his random backstory shots with the slimes and other monsters felt thrown together and weak. There was no depth to it, like the rest of the show. He was reborn in another world, got super powerful, uses monsters mostly slimes to fight, and a bad force works in the background knowing he's powerful. Now don't get me wrong. There were some cute moments and clever parts I enjoyed. The pretending to be weak when being hunted by assassins? Gold. Using the slimes as hosts to send your magic through? Very clever and honestly so cool to watch play out. The wolf being timid? Unexpected but welcome. The fact that the females in this show aren't sex-ualized? Please take notes other shows. This show has its gems hidden within it, but you have to deal with everything else and feel bored even in the most intense scenes watching this. Truly, you have no connection to any of the characters outside a few monsters. And even then they lose their appeal. Every character in this show that's actually intriguing is a one off then you're stuck with Yugi all over again. Yes the slimes are with him but they seem like one voice and mine as there's no variation in dailogue. It felt like I watched one voice play different characters throughout the main cast with no variety at all. There is a word for this, I just don't know what it is. Basically, there is no difference between characters. That's what kills this show. You have Yugi, energetic slimes, scaredy dog wolf, then hardened and tough throw away adventurers. It's just bland. All the ingredients are coming together for it to still taste like regular broth."
