"I've started watching this because I promised a dear friend that one day I would. So far I'm intrigued by the grim reality of the world and the portrait of humanity with it's strength, weakness, and sublimely beautiful angst. More at a later time. So far I've made it to season 6."

"I recently was finally able to catch up and finish watching this series that I have enjoyed immensely from the beginning. I was and still am a fan of the original comic book series and initially, I was a little annoyed that they didn't stay true to the storyline from the comic. In fact they even added characters to the show that never existed in the books. But then I relented, and accepted that this show had taken on a life of its own. Some seasons were better than others, but overall...a fantastic show!!! 9/10 Now I need to catch up on the last season of Fear: The Walking Dead before I watch Dead City and then Daryl Dixon."

"It's no secret that most characters eventually get killed off. Unfortunately maybe that's why the show lost its momentum around season 7. Personally I do think it gets better towards the end of the very depressing Negan war and I still want to see how it all ends despite the now semi-interesting story. I find myself almost forcing myself to finish it now that the last season is out but thankfully I can see the conclusion. I think if the story had gone a slightly different direction 2/3rds of the way through the series then there would have been some maintained interest. "

"Let me really review this. Okay so obviously the early seasons were better. I even enjoyed them more but. It’s hard to not enjoy them. It starts off a lot simpler. They go from place to place. And gather **** to survive. And slowly becoming much more unstable really. Those episodes just made everyone seem like monsters. Plus the walkers were actually threats. Which was nice. I may not love every character equally but all of the characters are very well developed. All feel like actual people. Good traits and bad traits. Negan truly elevates the show. Although I enjoyed the early seasons. Rick, Maggie, Glenn, Darryl, Michonne, Carl, Carol and others. They not necessarily went by things with ease. But they had eachother always and mostly came out on top. By major character deaths. It basically broke the characters worlds. Are they really doing everything to survive? Are they really making the smartest choices. Now the seasons are a lot more about big large group not just the main group. Well not really focusing on many new people but sort showing a birds eye view on things. I really haven’t hated many episodes. I’ve not cared for a few. But the survival part. Plus the like themes they get into. Are genuinely addictive for me. I think if you like this show. Like truly like this show. You’re in it forever. I love this show a lot. Definitely up there in my favorite shows. Love Daryl, Carol, and Rick. Will sadly watch the spin offs. Not like I don’t want to but been watching this show the whole year."
