"Brilliant interpretation of the women warriors who found behind the lines of battle. Women’s roles were vital during war. "

"Started really good then it jumped the shark at multiple occasions. This series had a great potential, the setting, the outfits and the filming were really good but the story in itself is all over the place. I give it 3 because of the hommage it gives to women at war. "

"I love Audrey Fleurot but this series was soap opera like and melodramatic I couldn’t finish it. Including the topless nun confessing her sins. Just too much."

"I watched this series over a year ago, and I remember it to be amazing! A lot of history, drama and secrets. Amazing historical information about what was happening in France, 1914. As the German troops advance and men leave for the frontlines, four women must grapple with the devastating consequences of war at home.”"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An excellent show. The tone is constantly bleak and serious (a lot of suffering throughout) but it does this show credit in it's portrayal of the horrors of war. And don't worry, moments of humanity and selflessness are present. I'd argue that Women At War is even better than its sister show, The Bonfire of Destiny (which I also recommend)."

"Historically accurate while weaving in the drama of 4 fictional women at the beginning of WW1. Excellent limited series. "
