"1st off, it's incredibly predictable in every way, shape, & form. Villain was obvious. Premise was clear. It didn't help Disney's trailer shows you scenes that occur in the final & 2nd to last episode. Considering I didn't watch a trailer (unless forced) knowing I planned to watch it, I had no clue it wouldn't be a movie. That was jarring. Both myself & and friend had no clue. We went into it thinking we were getting SC 4, not the spin-off show. Not that it's bad, it is a show, just not expected. It's the one thing that shocked me. 3rd, that intro is horrible. It's like someone tried to make a horror movie, freeze frame, creepy, 80s sitcom snowglobe like ending, & threw in donkeys from Encanto's Surface Pressure scene into one. Needless to say, skip intro is pressed every time. To top matters off, only 5 people return. Mr, & Mrs, Bernard, Charlie, & 1 surprise. Not his ex-wife, the hubby, their daughter, Carol's parents. Nor any other elves. Nothing. Why do I like it? It's still a sequel to a fun series. The series does retain its heart as well. Keeping Christmas spirit alive & a family dynamic. Not quite the one we're used to, but it's there. The characters in this are compelling. At first, I hated his kids, but then they grew on me. They felt real. As in, if Santa had kids, they would turn out like that. I enjoyed them entering the real world, which isn't a SPOILER since every trailer reveals that. By the end, I loved them. They & Carol were the reason I kept watching. Santa Clause series has always been realistic in the way this seems like a documentary on Santa. Every sequel retained that realistic nature. Like his kid getting mad, he can't tell others his dad has the greatest job in the world. That realism stays in this show. Makes you want to continue watching & retain that hopeful belief. After finishing this, then watching the original, you get a better perspective & enjoy the 1st SC even more. Which is a sign of a great sequel. That's why I like it."

"Ahh I came here to rant. So, far I’m not into this show at all. I was so excited to see a reboot of this storyline. But, I’m sorry the writers have ruined it. I don’t know why writers today think they need to add societal/pop culture references into these shows to get for the kids of today to relate to a show. WRITERS YOU DONT HAVE TO! Like did they really need to add a line that included Harry Styles ? My wish is writers will write how they want to write. And if people aren’t interested they aren’t interested. Anyways at this point that’s where I am at. And I will only be continuing watching to see Bernard appear. I also when I was growing up as a child never once did I watch a film and think oh that’s totally related to the pop culture currently. Unless I was blind to it, but thinking about it now I can’t recall"
