"When I first saw this series, I was glad that Steve Buscemi finally had a vehicle to show off his acting chops. Great writing, with an amazing cast, this Mob drama set in Atlantic City quickly became a favorite series of mine. It might be time to revisit it again, since I haven't seen it in a while. 9/10"

"Just finished watching it for the first time and I have to admit it’s a disappointment. As many others noted it’s a great production, the costumes, the set the historical context are all great. The writing is also good. Great ensemble of actors. That being said I feel like Steve Buscemy was miscast for this role. As great of an actor as he is, he is unfortunately lacks the charisma necessary to pull off the character of such magnitude. There is also zero chemistry with his character brother, Eli which is unfortunate for the two main characters. After first two seasons the show becomes convoluted with totally unnecessary subplots instead of going deeper into the main storyline. The last season is really weak and the ending is predictable and unsatisfying. Overall I give 3.5 ⭐️ . I expected much more from it. (05/02/2025)"
