"I enjoyed this more then Bridgerton! I really liked the bittersweet love story with more serious subject matters while still maintaining that Bridgerton style of fluff. I think it maintains all emotions quite nicely and it’s not JUST rich people going to balls…I mean it has that but it also has more of the royal politics that personally enjoy. "
"3.5 stars I unexpectedly enjoyed this series."

"Wow. This show broke my heart. It is such an amazing representation of mental illness and true love. Honestly, reality sucks sometimes, but the show had such a good balance between a fairy tale romance and the true challenges of loving someone with bipolar disorder. Honestly, it's a must watch regardless if you're into the Bridgerton series or not. This is a standalone prequel. "
"It's definitely a Netflix Bridgerton story, that's for sure. Except these scenes are much harder to skip since they put plot dialogue moments in them.
The characters are really fun to watch. Their stories are intriguing and unique. The main relationship, of course, drives everything, but it can be a bit much at times. The shift from George to Charlotte is expected but can feel a bit like its dragging on. When it is, they throw in the moments of the Bridgerton characters as they are from the original show.
Both timeliness are well fleshed out. They use proper storytelling techniques just like a book, it just can be a bit annoying to watch a few times. (It's not bad, it just drags on and you want the moment to end or wrap up but then it'll switch to something new.)
I worried they wouldn't stay either the story that the show Bridgerton gave us but they actually do stick with it. As in I thought certain Lady Danbury moments from the original show no longer matched with what this show gave us, but they allowed it to stay consistent. Even if it gives new meaning to lines from the original show.
Honestly, the motivation behind the making of this show was more heartfelt and intriguing than the show. I mean that in a good way as the CEO of Netflix's mother in law was a history buff for the real Queen Charlotte. She even acquired real letters from her over the years. Except she passed before she could see the show. Still, after I heard that I had to watch it. And I did enjoy parts, I just don't think I'll ever watch it again. But who knows?
I enjoyed the ending and thought they wrapped things up well. Both for flashbacks and the Bridgerton timed show. The ending was well thought out. I truly hope they don't make a second season and that is the first and only tike I've ever said that about a show. But I mean it."
