"**Re-post — My review inexplicably disappeared so here it is again. I’ve heard this has been happening so I guess it’s my turn.
4.25⭐️ Super solid crime drama which delivers almost as spectacularly as its Yosemite locale. I may have come for the latter but this show did catch my attention right from the tension filled start and, for the most part, held it there. However this is a slower burn, emotion filled murder mystery, with grief, trauma, deep secrets and highly suppressed emotions as its central themes. The mystery of it all is intriguing enough to have strung me right along, with the ending paying off in some gut punches that hit with haunting feelings of anguished regret. What keeps a despondent tone at bay is the juxtaposition against an expansively wild and wondrously bucolic Yosemite backdrop imparting a visual lightness and sort of awed tranquility. So there is just enough grit .. without being too gritty. Only six quick eps here for a good binge. I was just sorry that it’s a limited series. To be revived in some way though? Hopefully. "
"This is quite a good and action-packed show with Eric Bana who is absolutely amazing and his young counterpart is also great at being quirky and good too. Sam Neill l is always amazing in anything that he's in. Im wondering....where in the country and in what park are all these good looking park police????. My looooord!"
"Ok story, obvious culprit, too slow for my liking "

"For me, it was a bit of a slow burn, but I definitely enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the second season of what was supposed to have been a limited series. The premise of season two sounds interesting, being in a different national forest, which Bana's character will not know like the back of his hand. He'll be a bit out of his element.
All the loose ends got tied up in a nice little bow, so no cliffhangers!"
