Not sure how it compares with the original Upstairs, Downstairs, but, on its own, it's pretty good! Watch at least up to episode two since episode one is not as interesting as the others and is the set-up. It's very similar to Downton Abbey, however its not as long so you aren't given enough time to get to know the characters, in my opinion. And its suprisingly darker. I really liked how the historical events of the time greatly affected the story and lives of the characters. It shows how English people might have felt as war loomed over them and how they prepared for attacks."
