"My review for this adaptation of known events about the Ripper murders is four stars because it is fascinating. Although this was released in the 1980's, I thought that there was a unique perspective to the claims in this two episode drama. Armand Assante plays the role of an American theatrical actor who is a suspect in the high profile murder case. A well known psychic seems to have visions of the killings, and even a member of the royal family is suspected. Some of these theories are old, and others are added for dramatic effect. But I have seen documentaries about the Ripper murders that may that contain some of the theories in this movie, as well as the newspaper 📰 and its handling of publicizing the lives of the victims, and so much more. The acting of the cast is great, especially Michael Caine, as investigator Abberline, which held my interest. "
