"It definitely has an agenda to push, and it does so every single episode. Yet the show is definitely action-packed and drama filled.
There are a few moments of "wow, I didn't think of that" when it comes to pushing the agenda. One moment in episode 6 really surprised and made a great point.
Outside the main guy though, most every character is forgettable. The head boss dude is probably the only other one I'd remember, due to his character being very stereotypical. He slowly grows as you learn more about him and the assumptions surrounding him being wrong. Not like you as the viewer assumed things, but that his character is portrayed one way, then there's small revelations showing that's not the case. As for the main girl, she's fine. Very steadfast and full of women empowerment. Yet it fits her demeanor, just not quite with all her actions. I do like how she's not ditzy in any way. However, as I watch, I constantly am shocked to see her. Like oh yeah she's in this show and plays a part.
It's honestly like that for every character. The Pilot really pushed our main guy and the Rookie. Yet even now, Rookie is fading into the background as his own is revealed to the audience. I'm invested in him but continue to forget he exists.
The action is there and will keep certain people interested. Plus, the episode stories do grab you, keeping you intrigued. I like the variations on them despite the show not seeming all that realistic.
What's the redeeming quality though? The main guy is truly something. He's different yet hooks you on how relatable he kind of is. He doesn't scream out, he coasts by, proving you wrong as he does so. There's a calming nature to him as he literally leads operations to take down bad guys. I also really enjoy *** he teaches not preaches about his values and lessons. It just works. Now if everything around him can catch up and the agenda can take a back seat for at least 1 episode, that be great."
"Good show, kinda slow at times and predictable. There’s not much drama and kinda repetitive. "
