Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal. They may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds. The Asteri have kept their word so far, leaving Bryce and Hunt alone. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri's power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels' plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed or fight for what's right. "This book was everything. The ending was spoiled for me but there was so much MORE that I didn’t see coming. So many twists and turns I literally and speechless. I do have to say I had my suspicions on who days was and I can’t believe I was RIGHT. This book was so good I literally cannot wait for the next"
"4.5 ⭐️ For the majority of this book, I didn’t know which end was up. I can never figure out what pieces of information are important with this author because I know she weaves a very tangled web. The deeper I got, the more unhinged it became. Some plot lines just ended and I was left scrambling for what the heck was going on. It felt long at some points and I knew I just had to push through…holy smokes am I glad I did. That ending absolutely slayed me!!! Starting the next book immediately!"
"Much like CC1, there is A LOT of information thrown out leaving you grasping at straws or back to the drawing board. It all comes together at the end. And I mean, ALL!! 😁 Love the loyalty between the main characters. One big family of outsiders! I loved Ithan the entire time he was living with Bryce, especially when he was petting Bryce’s “cat.” I laughed so hard."
