To prove his valor and skill, he walks deliberately into ambushes set up by the school's followers. While Otsu waits, Akemi also seeks him, expressing her desires directly. Meanwhile, Takezo is observed by Sasaki Kojiro, a brilliant young fighter, confident he can dethrone Takezo. After leaving Kyoto in triumph, Takezo declares his love for Otsu, but in a way that dishonors her and shames him. Once again, he leaves alone.

"In the second movie of the samurai saga, Takezo returns to Kyoto after a three year absence, now armed with his samurai name. Musashi Miyamoto. He spent those years learning the sword and honing his samurai craft. Only one thing is on his mind: to challenge the top swordsman of the most prominent school in Kyoto to a duel for honor and glory. Three women vie for his love, and he has to determine if he wants to postpone his journey of the sword, or continue. Aoemi, played by Mariko Omada, was the woman he was initially engaged to. Otsu, played again by Kaoru Yachigusa, is the woman of his heart, who loves him just as deeply. Michiyo Kogure, plays the role of a courtesan, Dayū Oshino, who grows to love Takezo's quiet bravery. I enjoyed watching the scenes of Kabuki and the beautiful instrumentations and dancing. The Buddhist monk is once again played by Takuan Sōho. Japanese audio. "
