"I am not gonna lie. Iโm a podunk white girl who grew up in Illinois but 5 hours away from Chicago. I have fewer than 20 friends of color. This show has taught me so much about diversity, and what it means to struggle in different ways than I have. At the same time, I identify with so much about this show. Broken, dysfunctional families, family you want to disown. Friends who are like family. Growing up feeling lost, and figuring out a lot about life as we grow. This show is touching, heartbreaking even, but also funny and lighthearted at times. I canโt wait to meet the new babies next season! "

"One of my new favorites next to Snowfall. Great show for all audiences over 18. Especially if youโre looking for a show about LGBTQ relationships. I never noticed that there were a lot of LG scenes until I convinced my mother to start watching. And she was uncomfortable about a lot of the scenes. Recently people have been requesting shows that show same-sex relationships. However, I have noticed no one has suggested this show even though it is rated number one and they have a billboard in time Square. I wonder why? maybe because initially it looks like itโs a show about kids. It shows both coming of age relationship and adult relationships in all aspects. "
