"Equal parts #tacky, #twisty, #smutty & #spicy, The Hunting Wives is chock full of #cringy, cornball #Texas drama — but the #mystery and #messy #relationships are weirdly #addictive. Think Big Little Lies meets #ToxicRomance, with a #gratuitous (borderline excessive?) splash of skin, #secrets, and #sultry #sapphic tension.
▪️ FYI: The finale leaves a few questions hanging ❓❓❓ — like the fate of multiple relationships, and who really hired the one-eyed man — but the #cliffhangers make it feel like #Netflix wants a Season 2. And if it gets the greenlight? I’d watch, mostly to see #BrittanySnow stretch beyond Pitch Perfect — this was such a different role for her, and she definitely held her own. I’ll never look at her again as just a bitchy Barden Bella! 😜

"Thanks to @miaparker’s rec, I ended up giving this show a chance. I admit, it was definitely tacky and cringe, but still oddly entertaining and very intriguing. Netflix also does a smart thing by having the next episode automatically play- since I was too lazy to stop it, it continued on, and I figured what the heck. I wound up binging all eight episodes, staying up til 2:30 am to finish. It totally sucked me in! Definitely a scorcher. Mystery/thriller/drama/sexfest, along the lines of a very R-rated nighttime soap opera with over-the-top acting. Most questions are answered with the payoff at the end, but still some cliffhangers for what hopefully will be season two. Warning: gratuitous sex, nudity and profanity galore. (I finally started fast-forwarding as much as I could.)"
