"Set in the 1950's, this first season follows a black family relocating to a suburban white neighborhood and being met with escalating degrees of racism, but that's only the half of it. There is a supernatural element that the family is dealing with including twisted hallucinations and altered reality. It's hard to determine which is more disturbing, the sometimes gory and violent horror element or the sometimes gory and violent racism. Either way this series is well acted by all involved. Feels like a season of American Horror Story that's been made by Jordan Peele. 8.5/10 I'm looking forward to watching season two."

"Season 2 was pretty good. I didn't like the ending at all. I felt like there were a lot of unanswered questions. I also felt like most of the kills didn't make sense. Why kill guilty and innocent people?? I also fully understand the symbolism but there were things that didn't make sense. I did like how they connected it to season 1."

"I actually watched season 2 first as my friend that introduced me to this show had already seen season 1. I’m not sure I would have bothered with season 2 if I’d watched season 1 first. First of all season 1 has probably the worst/most stressful scene I’ve ever had to endure. Secondly, it felt unfinished with an extremely annoying back story episode right at the end which I couldn’t have cared less about. Season 2 on the other hand felt fleshed out, the acting from the 2 main characters is outstanding! And just the overall pacing and storytelling was so much better. If you want to save yourself some serious stress and frustration then I would genuinely consider skipping season 1. Season 1 is a low 3 ⭐️ season 2 is 4 ⭐️ "
