From the bestselling author of the #Lovestruck novels comes a rousing romance about following your dreams, second chances, and playing the game of love. Disgraced college quarterback Logan Hunt was on his way to NFL stardom when he messed up big-time. Now the Texas star player with a bad temper has a new option: Seattle's EOL College--as in End of the Line, to his fellow misfit recruits. It's Logan's last chance. If he can follow the rules. No parties, no fighting, no swearing, and oh, no dating the coach's daughter, Jess. Simple. Yeah, right. For Logan, there has never been a rule he's more tempted to break. The deal is "just friends." The pretty, confident, and fiercely smart math whiz is fine with pizza, tutoring, and keeping Logan in line. But the closer Jess gets, the more receptive she is to his warm heart and spirit--not to mention his irresistible off-field passes. With defenses down, they're both heading into the danger zone. It's more than thrilling. It's love. It's also a game changer that could sideline Logan's NFL goals--and more important, a future with Jess. But dreams are worth fighting for, right?

"The Friend Zone by Sariah Wilson *****/*****
#KindleUnlimitedWhisperSync #Reviews

Triggers: Rape, Starvation, Child Abuse (all of this in the past)
Subgenres/ Tropes: Friends to Lovers, Forbidden, Football Player and the Coaches Daughter, New Adult
Spoilers Possible

OMG this book gave me all of the feels! I absolutely cried at times listening to this book. I laughed, I hoped, and in the end I rejoiced. Starting this book wasn't at the top of my list. I found it for free with KU WS months ago and just kept putting it off. Honestly the summary seemed like it was just gonna be another college age football player book (You know like Sara Nay’s books, not that I don't like them but they’re so typical) I was so very wrong about this book though.

The book starts off similar to a lot of the but by hour 4 I riveted. I couldn't put it down for a second. This end of the line football team is really where men are made. Everyone on the team and working with the team has done something to **** up and this is where they go to learn to be a better person. Logan got into one too many fights on and off the field and got booted from his team. Now he’s at EOL trying to walk the line so he can make something of himself and never go back to the poverty that he knew as a child. He has some past traumas that he talks about with no one until he meets Jess, the coach's daughter. The one woman who he absolutely cant get involved with. So they agree to be friends until it becomes more and everything gets put on the line. Jess has some past trauma as well including what got her father booted from the football team he once coached. (I'm not telling you what but damn I cried)

The last two hours of this book I cried so hard. When a book makes me feel so strongly about it that I cry, that is when I know it's one of the best. I loved everything about the last few hours of this book and can't wait to read more. SO if you decide to read this book I’d suggest you get ready to read more because this is only book one of a series and keep your tissues handy just in case.

PS: I tried really hard not to give too much away but just know this book was worth the time it took to read it and then some.
Author's Website: https://www.sariahwilson.com/"
