"Very overrated in my opinion. To me, it was kinda boring, the plot wasn’t necessarily horrible, or the writing. I just couldn’t get into it. The world, the characters , anything really. And after finishing it, I don’t really feel any interest in starting the next book in the series. The talk around this book made it seem a lot better than it actually was. Definitely not one of the best fantasy novels I’ve ever read. Maybe it’s just me. I probably won’t read it again.

"Wow that ending was insane! This was very much an exciting and magical Beauty and the Beast retelling, but with some twists! The world is really whimsical and very intriguing, and the story was interesting. I will say that it was pretty slow paced until the 75% mark, but it was all still very fascinating and the characters were mostly enjoyable. Feyre actually reminded me a ton of Katniss from The Hunger Games. As for the spice, I had been putting this book off for so long because I don’t read anything spicy. However, I found someone online who wrote the page numbers to skip, so that’s what I ended up doing, and it ended up being pretty minuscule other than a few references and make-out scenes here and there. Here are the pages I skipped (in the hardcover edition) for anyone who wants to know:

Anyways this book was good, but could have been even better if some things were changed with the pacing and plot."
