But the big reveal was just not the right direction for me and made the book feel like such a waste. "

And that is exactly how I recommend everyone to go into it! I’m a murder mystery girly. I find, when done right. They are so engaging, fast paced and always tell a well thought out story!! Alice Feeney’s Daisy Darker did just that!! The pacing of this book was so perfect!! From beginning to end I was thoroughly entertained and engaged! Not feeling like the book was too slow at some points or like it was being rushed! Which is so difficult to find in a murder mystery!! The characters that I was meant to hate, I hated, and the characters that I was meant to love, I loved! Each one very individual, and with striking personalities! The amount of twists, secrets, and mysteries unveiled in this book is mental!! I was shocked, over and over and over again! Daisy Darker is a girl with a broken heart, and a broken family. They all gather on the tiny island off the coast for their well off Nana’s 80th birthday. All secretly hoping to receive some of her wealth. However the night quickly turns from tense to chaos when the first body is found. Trapped till the tide goes out, how will the family fair with so many secrets, and deaths amongst themselves-When someone in the house has to be responsible!! The thing I loved the most about Daisy Darker was how Alice Feeney woved and intertwined every aspect of the book so that throughout reading/listening to the book. The outcome could be literally so many different Scenarios, each with missing puzzle pieces that we don’t figure out until the very end!! I absolutely loved this book, and would recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of Mystery, Murder, and family drama✨"
