"This book was cute - great novella and really sets up "The Duchess War." (didn't realize it there was a novella to that book until I was 15% in but, I digress)

Serena, used & abused by the Duke of Clermont, is out for blood. Hugo, the duke's "cleaning man", is charged with making her go away. She stands her ground, through rain, cold & near pneumonia, and garners Hugo's respect (even moreso after she flips him off through the window). I'm pretty sure he was in love with her early on in the book but he railed against it because he was so concerned with being rich and setting himself up for life. The way that Hugo finds out that she's with child is ADORABLE and then instantly goes into "dad mode" to get her into a better situation.

LOVED the ending of the book and how Hugo stands up to the duke. Also, the mini epilogue at the end and seeing Serena / Hugo's HEA was sweet too."
