The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock ’n’ roll she loves most. By the time she’s twenty, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. On the eve of their first tour, his girlfriend Camila finds out she’s pregnant, and with the pressure of impending fatherhood and fame, Billy goes a little wild on the road. Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. What happens next will become the stuff of legend. The making of that legend is chronicled in this riveting and unforgettable novel, written as an oral history of one of the biggest bands of the seventies. Taylor Jenkins Reid is a talented writer who takes her work to a new level with Daisy Jones & The Six, brilliantly capturing a place and time in an utterly distinctive voice.

"I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t get into reading it in the physical format, but I HIGHLY recommend listening to the audiobook if you can get your hands on it. I don’t normally listen to audiobooks (if they are fiction) but having the full cast of every character being performed by different actors (some of them you might know already) was really transformative. I was able to get the nuances and personalities from each character throughout the whole book. I didn’t see the twist at the end which was quite unexpected for me. The only thing I didn’t like was unfortunately the ending; I felt like it wrapped up a bit too quick for my liking. Other than that, I do think it lived up to the hype surrounding this book."

"I never really had much interest in this book before I saw the trailer for the show for some reason lol but this definitely exceeded my expectations! I especially loved the interview format of it and how there was always that question of whether or not what was said is what actually happened because everyone remembered the events differently! I also think that this book was made for audio so I highly recommend it being consumed that way! Overall, this was just a really interesting story of a fictional band that fell apart for a lot of different reasons at the very height of their career and unraveling why!"
"Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books are all consuming. Her writing sucks you into the story. I never feel so involved with a book like I do hers. It like you leave the book having built new relationships with all the characters. The only problem is you truly feel the heart ache they endure as well. I loved Daisy Jones and all the members of the band. I loved the Mick Riva reference! This is not a book I thought I would enjoy which is why I just now read it but I am so glad I did!!"
"This book is everything I could have wanted in literary fiction. It was crafted with intricate characters with depth, and the problems that were brought up between each character seemed realistic and the way they were presented and dealt with seemed natural and happened in ways real people would solve their problems."
