Eyre opens with Jane, an orphaned, isolated ten-year-old, living with a family that dislikes her. She grows in strength, excels at school, becomes a governess, and falls in love with Edward Rochester. After being deceived by him, Jane goes to Marsh End, where she regains her spirituality and discovers her own strength. By novel's end, Jane is a strong, independent woman. Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre still raises relevant questions to readers today."

"This is the classic Jane Eyre story set in manga format. From what I could tell and remember, it was fairly accurate in respect to the original novel. I found this funny, along with being easier to understand. The art style was good, except they made the girls look younger than they really are, but that can be easily ignored.

An ARC was given to me by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review."
"Heralded as a feminist novel of its time due to Jane’s strong character I did not expect for her to end up settling for a quiet life of domesticity and caretaking rather than pursuing other scholarly or professional endeavors. **SPOILERS** I was disappointed that Jane returned to Mr. Rochester- a possessive and controlling, not to mention, deceiving man who is now blind and maimed. He received his “karma” so the reader is meant to pity his character and cheer for their reunion that ends in Jane becoming the caretaker of this man who is twenty years her senior. "
"One of the greatest novel's. Ever. Such well-drawn character's. Multi-layered, thoughtful, intelligent, impeccably written. I cannot recommend it highly enough."
