"I think I enjoyed this book way more than the other two because the show branched off before this book was published (i think??) it was different than the show so I didn’t know what to expect and it was good. I’m a little sad that Mary Kay won’t be in the next one because I enjoyed season fours plot but the ending was fkn wild "
"It's funny how Joe is truly someone you love to hate. Morally, on all levels, he is not a good guy. However, in this installment, for once, he makes you believe he is the victim. He called himself a "good guy" throughout the book, and compared to the last two books, he's right. New York Joe and Los Angeles Joe would have committed more crimes to keep the girl. But this is "good" Joe, suburban Joe."
"2.5⭐

You Love Me is the third book in the You series, and while I had really high hopes for this one, it was pretty different from the other two books. You Love Me does not have the same charm as the previous stories. Joe isn't really as conniving anymore, and he's just whiny. I was frustrated, and I missed the humorous aspect. I was hoping that this book would pick up where Hidden Bodies left off, but there's a time jump. There was information about what happened during that time, but it still felt like a chunk of the story was missing. Joe and his love interests have been intriguing in the past, but this one was not. I wasn't really interested in the story until the last 20%, and it ends up getting so far-fetched. I finished it because I still want to check out the next book since I think the series is continuing, but I was pretty disappointed in You Love Me.

CW - addiction, cheating, termination of pregnancy, suicide, misogyny, antisemitism, animal murder, mentions of sexual harassment & assault, mentions of pedophilia & statutory rape"
"This book was better than the 2nd one I’ll give it that. To me it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the greatest either. At this point it feels like a repetitive rhythm with this series. Joe falls for a woman, destroys almost everything in their life, he falls out of love or his victim dies and it’s off to another state to fall for another.
I am a fan of the first book, it’s probably one of my favorite books but as much as I do enjoy the somewhat growth of Joe, it’s just not as good as the first but it’s more coherent than the second. I still enjoyed some of the plot points and the overall writing. Caroline remains one of my favorite writers overall."
"4.5/5 ⭐ rating from me:
I will listen to any audiobook narrated by Santino Fontana! I love this series so far. I like it slightly better than the second one but still enjoyed them all just the same. The ending makes me think there will be another. If I'm not mistaken Caroline Kepnes will wright a fourth book to the series! So I'll be happy to listen once it's out!!

Omgoodness I'm so surprised Joe made it through an entire book without killing or needing to kill anyone!! What a self improvement from his growth of the other two books. For the fourth book I'm more than curious to see if old Joe would somehow reappear in a killing situation or if he'll keep his cool and not kill again. Truly making the change for the better.
I can't help but just want the best for Joe at this point. He truly just wants to find love but becomes a little on the obsessive side. I thought this time for sure would be it.

The only thing that bugged me was MK was a bit of a non concern bitch when Joe got shot in the head and definitely didn't acknowledge any of his injuries from Shames beating him up. She was too concerned with her own butt hurt feelings of Joe going to California. They hadn't known each other that long, she could have waited for him to return and have a calm conversation over coffee or something to talk about feelings. If it was me I would definitely feel sorry for Joe or anyone who had a head injury from a gun shot.

I should have, but didn't see the turns and twists with the meerkat falling for Joe or MK dieing. I knew in the beginning Joe had mentioned Married, Barried, Dead or something like that about certain characters and MK being one of them but I had kind of forgotten or hadn't known just how it would have turned out.

So overall always being oblivious to twists and turns in the story I definitely enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I always love being in Joe's head and him criticising society all the time"
"An excellent continuation of the series, and a definite improvement over Hidden Bodies"
