Daniel is a carpenter and small town mayor who also runs a bed and breakfast. Fog, a raccoon, and a bet conspire to bring Alexis and Daniel together. Sparks fly and they feel an immediate connection. How can this relationship work when they are literally from two very different worlds? Characters were well developed. Most of the characters were lovable. Some were despicable. One of the things I enjoyed the most was that I couldn't predict how it was going to end. I found the ending to be extremely satisfying. This book does deal with abusive relationships - both psychological abuse and physical abuse. It might be triggering to someone who is going through or has gone through similar situations. Includes discussion questions for book clubs. Recommended for people who like to read romances that seem destined to fail before they start and people who like to read books set in a small town."

"I absolutely loved this one. If you enjoy Emily Henry's books, I think you'd also like this one. I loved our main characters. This man was truly written by a women he's too perfect. I loved them so much, and there are a few cooking scenes in here that timagine so fully it was so swoony it was such an easy read to get into it was just so cute and funny. The only downfall was this man is a county boy , but honestly, I was pretending the whole time he wasn't lol, so that's fine. The plot was good, along with the atmosphere. This book does deal with deep topics, so definitely be aware of triggering things also loved the side characters and the small town; it was so wholesome I definitely recommend I'm glad I was about to be in a reading slump until this one"
