He wants me to be his queen...Warned as a girl to keep her kisses to herself, Greer Galloway wants nothing to do with kisses--or love. Twice she's ignored the childhood warning and kissed a man, and both times ended in gutting, miserable heartbreak. Now she's sworn off all romance forever, determined to teach her classes and do her research, and live out the rest of her days alone.I want to be his everything. But Ash Colchester hasn't sworn off Greer--not at all. Still in love with the girl he once kissed in a circle of broken glass, this soldier-turned-President has never forgotten the taste of her kiss or the sound of her whispered, yes, please against his mouth. He's never forgotten the promises he wanted to make her and couldn't because she was too young for him then, and far too innocent for the things he needs. But he can't wait any longer . . .But can a fairy tale have a happily ever after for three people?Desperate to have her, Ash sends his best friend Embry to bring Greer to him, not knowing they have their own secrets, their own tragedies together. Their own cravings . . .Soon, Greer finds herself caught between past and present, pleasure and pain--and the two men who long for each other as much as they long for her. And as war and betrayal press ever closer, they tumble headlong into a passionate love affair that will change the world. My name is Greer Galloway and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States. From the USA Today bestselling author of Priest and Misadventures of a Curvy Girl comes a contemporary reimagining of the legend of King Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot--elegant, carnal, and unforgettable.

"2.75 ⭐️ single pov. I don’t think I am a huge fan of Sierra Simone. I couldn’t connect to the story at all and based on the premise of this book I should have loved it. If you are looking for really spicy with a dash of surface level plot this book is a great option! Possible SPOILERS below. I love an age gap but the second you make the character underage I can’t get passed it. Also the letters made my eyes roll to the back of my head. I don’t like insta love at the best of times but this obsessive teenager plot line made me cringe. As adults the most dialogue there is is in the bedroom. I love a spicy book but the spice got repetitive and the wording of all of the spicy scenes was repetitive. I think this author just isn’t for me. I don’t think I’ll finish the series. Spice level was 3-3.5/5. There was a lot of spice but it was not memorable. "
"This book is no Fifty Shades… you have to have an open mind when it comes to the characters and the relationships each have with each other. I recommend this book if you want something spicy and complex. "

"So the best way to describe this book is. A modern day women’s version of the story of King Author. There were parts I knew what the plot would be. I will say it does have a lot of flashbacks by the main character which could get confusing. But, was it spicy. Yes. Is there a cliff hanger 🙄 yes "
"This is not a good book by any means! But it was so entertaining to me. I highly doubt the author intended for this book to be humorous but I laughed so frequently that I just had to keep reading. It’s like a trash reality show. I can’t say I’d recommend it but I did enjoy the reading experience "

"DNF at 12% — I can overlook a lot of nonsense for good ****, but a 16 year old girl and a 26 year old man and he KNOWS that she’s 16? Nothing can excuse that.<br/><br/>I’m sure the American government and military propaganda in this one would have been to much for me too, but I might have gotten past that for some queer polyamory. Not pedophilia tho damn."
"Hm.<br/><br/>Just a minute...<br/><br/><img src=http://www.sbs.com.au/comedy/sites/sbs.com.au.comedy/files/styles/body_image/public/candidly_nicole_richie_online_life_social_media_phone_mobile_wait_one_second_hold_on_scrolling_texting.gif?itok=5r0oSDYE&mtime=1471473125<br/>Excuse me while I collect myself... or rather my panties from the floor...<br/><br/>This book was FIRE!<br/><br/>I'm still trying to recover from it and I finished it almost five minutes ago!!<br/><br/>This author has not disappointed at all!<br/><br/>I read my first story by her: [b:Priest|25507389|Priest (Priest, #1)|Sierra Simone|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1433645877l/25507389._SY75_.jpg|45253010] which, if I may say so myself was a GENIUS book.<br/><br/>And now she's knocked it out of the park again with this one!<br/><br/>American Queen didn't get a five-star from me, it was a four star, but don't fret! It was for two reasons and I'll tell you in a minute.<br/><br/>But first, let me tell why I LOVED it!<br/><br/><b>1: The fact that this awesome author didn't even mention the characters' "sexual orientations."</b><br/><br/>For stories like this (MFM or MMF) it's become a trend for authors to annoyingly insist on falsely portraying "bisexuality," so in this book, I absolutely LOVED that this was just about three people who all loved each other, and gender or sexuality wasn't a factor.<br/><br/>It was not like in most of the MFM or similar books I've had the displeasure of reading where the authors usually feel the need to "justify" why one of the characters is into both genders...<br/><img src=http://i.imgur.com/byTaREx.gif<br/>It's usually something nauseating like: <i>"Oh, I'm bisexual, therefore I can't be satisfied with ***** alone so I need dick in my life too!"</i><br/><br/>This is annoying and I loved that this author didn't this.<br/><br/><b>2: I ADORED the heroine!!!</b><br/><br/>I appreciate heroines who unapologetically embrace and OWN their sexualities.<br/><br/>The last time I remember loving a female MC like this was in Sylvia Day's Crossfire series. That heroine was a sexual being and she owned it and was proud too and wasn't ashamed, like society tends to tell women to be when they even show a slight sign of sexual confidence.<br/><br/>So I appreciate when a heroine knows what she wants and isn't worried what anyone thinks.<br/>
<br/><b>3: The male MCs.</b><br/><br/>I am a bisexual woman. And I especially hate how bisexuality is written in books sometimes, especially when it comes to the bi men. <br/><br/>I tend to take that **** personally!<br/><br/>So this book put back my faith in authors again when it comes to those types of characters.<br/><br/>The two men, the President and the Vice President both want each other, they are attracted to each other and they are equally that way with the heroine. <br/><br/>These men have no internal issues with their attraction to each other, they didn't make me roll my eyes and there was no annoying <i>"gay for you,"</i> or <i>"I need dick too and ***** isn't enough"</i> storylines.<br/><br/>So, thanks, author. <br/><br/>Now let's get down to why I took out a star:<br/><br/><b>1: The heroine's best friend.</b><br/><br/>I saw how smart the heroine was, even when she was a little bit insecure when she was younger. <br/><br/>So I didn't like how the author just made it look like the heroine could not tell how bad of a friend her "best friend" was.<br/><br/>I mean, I could tell how toxic the bitch was from the first words I read about her, why did the heroine blatantly ignore this and continue to be friends with her?<br/><br/><b>2: The Presidential factor.</b><br/><br/>I actually think Ash could have had any profession. <br/><br/>I mean, in America, we've never had a president younger than 50-60 years of age, right? Or am I wrong?<br/><br/>And Ash wasn't even halfway through his thirties yet...<br/><br/>Ash was already a soldier and that was the only thing that made a difference to the story, so he could have been a soldier and something else and the story won't have been any different.<br/><br/>I was just taken out of the story a little bit every time I read or was reminded that he was the leader of the free world, as it made no difference to the story.<br/> <br/>That's it!<br/><br/>I'll go tackle the next book in the series now, since this ended in a nice little cliffhanger.<br/><br/>And I will hopefully I love it just as much as this one!<br/><br/>Thanks for reading my review!<br/><br/>Happy reading!<br/><br/>Xoxo"
