I love learning more about Sam and how even back then you could see parts of the heroine that she would become! I think this should be read first if you like knowing the backstory. "

"There’s quite the debate on the order in which to read this book in the series. I read it 4th (after Heir of Fire). Currently feeling like I should have followed SJMs recommendation and read it 3rd…even though it takes you back in time. While I understand the thought process of reading it chronologically, (putting it 1st) I loved having that glimpse into her backstory once I was invested in her. This book was so good. It is not just 5 short stories, it is 5 stories that are pivotal points for Celaena and explains exactly how she got where she did. I didn’t understand why the first short mattered, but as you read on you realize it was a canon event."

There were several short stories in this prequel to amp you up for the first edition of Throne of Glass and I was happy to have read it. Another great book written by Sarah J. Maas. She never fails me!"
