"Its everything I expected from a ya book about children beating the **** out of the paranormal.

It doesn’t help that I love the show.

[listened through audiobook]"

"This was my first horror/suspense novels. I was very impressed about how with simple words an eerie sense of feeling can be expressed so perfectly. I was avidly afraid of wandering my house in the dark while reading this"

"I really enjoyed this book for the most part. My only problems were that i had trouble following with description. There's just not enough. At least not enough on the important things. Also, (to me) some of the verbiage was wrong. This is obviously placed in an older period of time. I mean children going to work between 6 and 8? And not just any work, but dangerous work.Yet, for some reason they tend to speak more modernly. Why is this? Yes i understand it is placed in London, but after reading several books placed in a time period similar to this, the verbiage is off.

Though i feel, that overall it was written very well and it made me not want to put it down. Probably not something i'd give to my child to read unless they loved horror stories. I nearly had a nightmare when i picked it up and started reading the first 100 pages before bedtime. Bad idea! Despite my few issues, i consider the book overall to be well written and an easy read for anyone, having finished it in total , in less than a day."
