"This is an unconventional coming of age story. Nico Parker does most of the heavy lifting in this moving drama. She plays Doris, a teenage girl who's trying to navigate the social aspects of high school all while helping to care for her dying brother. Her audacious mother gives most of her attention to her dying son, leaving Doris to fend for herself most times. All amidst the controversial case of Terry Schiavo, that raised concern on medical, ethical, legal, theological, political, and social fronts in a public forum. Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson give top notch performances as well. Even though you know what's coming, it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking. Hits you right in the feels. 8.5/10"

"This movie was genuinely so good. I love movies with this nostalgic 2000s feel to it. I sobbed like a baby by the end. Nico Parker is a fantastic actress. And adding Green Gloves by The National was a real treat too. Great movie, can’t wait to watch it again. "
