"I wasn't the biggest fan of the original. I felt like that viral dance was the main reason it blew up. It wasn't bad but it was nothing special based on the hype that it got. Another PG-13 horror/thriller that doesn't go far enough with a very standard robot go amuck story. However, with the success it demanded a sequel. I was expecting them to lean into what worked the first time and make it more intense. Instead of another horror thriller they decided to give us a sci-fi/action story that basically steals the plot of Terminator 2 making her the good guy. They thought she was a compelling enough character they could just do anything with the character, and they were sorely mistaken. Changing genres turned off the core audience and Megan is not compelling enough to carry an action movie. This was a pretty big disappointment but I'm sure it wont be the last. Hollywood always tries to give the audience something they didn't ask for. We wanted a darker version of the original. They overthought it and missed the mark. You can skip this one.
