"Has a bit of a slow start though hits its stride not long after. Kind of has a pulpy, modem Coen Brothers vibe going on. I liked it. It's intelligent, dark humor filled with escalating levels of chaos and survival. idk why people are so hyped up about Butler's performance. Obviously, the cat was the real star 🌟 🤩 "
"Fun and Darren Aronofsky don't usually go together, but it does in this instance. Perfect pacing and feature length. There wasn't a minute wasted in what can be best described as a crazy ride. Not only were the characters themselves memorable, but so were the performances (Give Regina King her flowers!). The cinematography and writing did a great job of giving viewers the "uncomfortable" feeling that is very familiar in all of Aronofsky's work. While being the most "accesible" Aronofsky film, "Caught Stealing" is one of his best works in a long time. "
"Great movie from start to finish, and it was the first movie I've seen Austin Butler in! The pace was exceptional and it felt like a classic movie - where actors understand fully who their characters are, play to their strengths, and excel in giving life to their lines.
A must watch this year!"
"Thought this movie was going to be more meh. I haven’t read the book so based on the trailer I thought it was going to be this fast paced adventure comedy? I wasn’t expecting the dark part though I should have expected seeing who was directing it. I was pleasantly surprised by those deviations from the typical path these kinds of movies take and for that I rated it higher for keeping my attention "

"Great movie! It has everything from comedy, action, and suspense. It was a little predictable, even without having read the book, but that didn't take away from the enjoyment of the movie. "
