"(1985) This is a coming of age hidden gem about a group of college friends that embark on a road trip. The cast is fantastic: (Kevin Costner, Judd Nelson, Sam Robards) making the banter, the arguments, and the moments of tenderness between the friends feel genuine and heartfelt. The road trip itself is a great metaphor for the journey of life. As the friends drive through the desert, they're forced to confront their fears and figure out who they are. It's a powerful exploration of growing up and finding your place in the world. It's interesting to note that Steven Spielberg had his name removed from the film, which is a shame because I think Fandango would've been a big hit, especially in the 80's. While I did enjoy this, I think it would resonate more with the male audience. 7/10
