I 💙 a teen rebel! 🤘🏾🎸🚬😎🎶🧑🏽🎤 Especially if its a teen #rebel at a cheap (or snooty) Irish Catholic school! 😜
⭐️ Many star’s in this you’ll recognize:
⭐️Lucy Boynton from BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY plays the teenage love interest and
⭐️Jack Reynor from THE PERIPHERAL plays the older bro with long hair (almost didn’t recognize him!) & he’s a constant scene-stealer, imo🤩 #lighthearted #feelgood #FUN From the same director as the 🎥 ONCE movie!

"Did not know this was a musical going into it makes a lot of sense now. Really enjoyed the songs though.
The story with Conor was pretty cool not just the romance. I do feel like the band helped him become who he wanted to be. Plus he really does have that rockstar look.
The romance was cool. I really enjoyed seeing them interact and grow closer.
Plus just like the last movie I watched do think this environment works well with a romance.
The brother mentoring was cool on the side felt very fresh. Well maybe fresh isn’t right but felt wholesome maybe.
I really enjoyed the music videos they made and the band members getting better. Really my only complaint is the band itself after the first half is kind of sidelined. You barely see him interact with those characters.
I did really enjoyed it though. Also not sure the real reason but something felt off when watching it. Regrettably giving this a 3.
Again I rank on how much I enjoyed it and what I didn’t like. Not to say I enjoyed yesterday’s movie more just. This had a lot more going for it so there’s a lot more to talk about.
The bully was barely in it.
Maybe I am being a bit harsh. But 3/5 isn’t necessarily horrible. honestly this would be more of a 3.5/5. Yesterday would be a 3.8/5

"A somewhat unique coming of age story with a great soundtrack."

""Sing Street" is an Outstanding Celebration of music, the poetry of lyrics, friendship & perseverance to turn a dream into reality! Colorfully Illustrated through the hearts & creative minds of teens stuck in a rigid school of conformity, tolerating no expression of individuality, these talented kids triumph over all adversity. Both through inspiration from 80s icons, as well as, personally written by & performed for their (at 1st glance), unsupporting peers by their newly formed band; this film's upbeat original score will carry on with you long after the movie ends."
"I’m a big fan of a lot of the 80’s bands that get referenced in this movie (especially The Cure) so this movie was practically tailor made for me! Kind a disappointing that for a movie about rock music set in Ireland in the 80’s there’s no reference to The Pogues or even U2 (yes, I like U2, get over it lol)"
"This movie was sweet and innocent. Lovely story, great music from the 1980’s, great acting too!"
