"I'm rating this romantic drama four stars because of the fantastic acting. Joan Crawford plays Millie, and Cliff Robertson plays Burt, two people that find that they are looking for the same things in life. Lorne Greene and Vera Miles also star. This is one of those films where you see how mental illness was not treated with the understanding that it should be. This IS Hollywood 's usual treatment of the subject. This film is depicting peoples attitudes of the 1950's, and there are some scenes in this movie that are disrespectful and certainly brutal. However, if the plot of how two people try to have a relationship among emotional troubles is separated from this depiction of mental illness, then I rate this film highly. Warning: ⚠️ scenes of distress and injury. (The title song sung by the velvety voice of Nat King Cole is a delight.) "
"Main reason you should watch this joan crawford calls someone a **** iconic behavior kept falling asleep and it wasn't because of the movie it was because of the song autumn leaves. The story in this is very good of course you can't go wrong with joan Crawford but like depicting her as this old one I just didn't see it she didn't look much older then the male lead. Also very interesting thought of what can be forgiven when you love someone."
