"The first half of this was pretty solid. It had a typical setup, but it got the job done. The mystery surrounding the town and some of that history was interesting. Then, the twist happens in the 3rd act with the clown. At first, I thought it would be interesting with that added layer, but the script got silly and went way off the rails. The ending had a bunch of exposition to explain things and when you think back about the events it really didn't make a whole lot of sense. It had the potential to be a solid teen slasher but made some odd narrative choices that just didn't work for me. Some decent kills and gore but a below average slasher. "Fun kills but needed more time to flesh out it's story and make sense of things. Really wish we got more of Kevin Durand, his performance was great and far too short lived.
I also don't know who was in charge of adding pre-existing music to the soundtrack, but we didn't need a new song for almost every transition. 😭"
"Very much slasher movie vibes. Pace of the book not slow at all and fleshed out everyone’s character nicely. I’m not usually a fan of pov switches but in doing so it literally had on the edge of your seat. It was also very relatable with the small town vibes and old vs new generation. All in all 10/10"

"Don’t understand the hype. It was simply trying too hard. Something g to turn on in the background or if you’re a teenager.
Kills weren’t even satisfying either. No real depth and just a bunch of *insert item here* going through the torso or head.
Ending also made no sense and was poorly drawn out without showing and repercussion of the nonsense 10 minutes prior"
