Ethan Hawke's Vincent is a guy who's sick of being held back by his genetic profile, and he's willing to fight for his place in the world. The film's got some serious bite, ripping apart the idea of perfection and the consequences of playing God with genetics. Jude Law's character adds some complexity, but some plot threads get lost in the shuffle. Still, Gattaca's themes are more relevant now than ever. It’s a haunting look at a world that's slowly becoming our reality. 7/10"
