KaitlinImmensely enjoyable if you liked the none stop gritty gore of the 2013 instalment of this franchise. However if you're looking for the campiness of the original Bruce Campbell films you won't find it here. Both the original films and the newer instalments are excellent.

KaitlinIf you're a slasher fan who's never read the 2006 novella by Norman Partridge I highly recommend watching the movie first. It's enjoyable as a alternate storyline. However it pales in comparison to Norman's masterfully spun tale. The 2023 adaptation lacks so many key plot points and details that would have given both more depth and emotion to the characters and a more clear explanation of the towns history. It's not by any means terrible. Just disappointing.
