It was great to see Rutina Wesley, formerly of True Blood, again. Anyway, great start. I'm looking forward to season 2, whenever that may be. "

The criticism around the actress pick for Ellie's character is completely unwarranted and simply stemming from the video game loyalists; similar to the Halo series but for different reasons. I felt this story emotionally, and honestly a few scenes got me in the feels. I think this deserves an Emmy."

The acting and relational dynamics portrayed in the show was heart wrenching and heart warming. I was so impressed with the elaborate set designs, the cinematography and the way the show came together as a whole. The behind the scenes footage was definitely worth it for this show too. This was such a hard show to review because it is so multifaceted, complex, emotional and just so good. Each time I tried to write the review it felt like I could not convey the experience of watching this series.
