"This is a fantastic 5 episode miniseries starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the band leader of the Lewis Lester band in 1930's London. He and his friend, a music journalist named Stanley, played by Matthew Goode, decide to chronicle the hopeful rise of the Lester Band. As you can imagine , there are racial tensions and barriers to the band's success, and a murder mystery with intrigue that may stall or even completely stop any success. This miniseries was well acted, and had just the right amount of realistic tension, unfortunately showing the class and racial divide of the era. "
