"An amazing book. One of the best so far. The flip from one character to another was actually what made me not want to put the book down."

"I did not believe i would really like this book, let alone finish it. This is by far now one of my favorite books of all time. It is so heartbreaking and beautiful and tragic and women empowered. I will be rereading this at least yearly. I do recommend for everyone, even if you, like I did, believe it is not the book or genre for you. Kristin Hannah has such a beautiful, captivating writing style."

"This book absolutely just took my breath away. It was amazingly written and beautifully devastating. One of the best historical fictions books I have ever read and will probably ever read. It brought me to tears and I promise it will do the same to you. The ending was shocking. I thought for sure I knew what sister was in the present. "
"this was a beautiful historical fiction story of two French sisters undergoing the holocaust and being part of the French resistance. A story of heartbreak resilience, and perseverance. This book broke my heart, stepped on it tore it to pieces and put it back together again. It is not for the faint hearted, but so worth it! I wish I could re-read it all over again for the first time. "
"I’m have never read a book that actually made me cry! And then not only that but made me want to read slowly. Every single word. I wanted to read forever. This book had me. I felt like I was watching a movie. When I was at work I was thinking of this book and at home I was ignoring my husband thinking of this book. It’s powerful. Well well well written. So engrossing. So awe inspiring. If you don’t get the feels from this. Your dead. "
