"I felt like I read this before and then realized it’s basically now you’re mine with some things changed. In its defense it came out first so it gets the same star rating. I enjoyed both but Lincoln, well amazing in the bedroom, is insane and I probably couldn’t over come some of the things he did but it’s all fun to read 😉"
"I finished this book yesterday (June 24,2023) and OMG I WAS HOOKED. it only took me 4 hours to complete this book. Once i picked it up I couldn’t put it back down. It was my first time reading a hockey romance and may i say…Just like Monroe, I never had a care in the world for sports until Lincoln showed up. The plot was fast paced but very entertaining and towards the end I was shocked but in a way that only made me love the book more. "
"Drinking game:

Take a shot every time this author uses the word/verb: "resemble."

Don't blame me when you get alcohol poisoning, though...

Review:

The writing was so amateurish, overly flowery at weird moments.

It felt like this was written by a 12 year old on Wattpad, which is a good place to start as a young writer finding her footing...

but I'm gonna take a wild guess that this author is not a 12 year old, so there's no excuse for this.

I do have to command the author (or her editor) for the pacing of the book, though, I never felt like any scene was dragging, so that's good.

Although I appreciate an "obsessive hero.." like any other gal,

I dont think this particular hero was developed well. His obsession felt so out of place, and there was no believable build up.

I also didn't like the heroine all that much. She was so insecure at certain parts, (and you know how much I hate un-confident heroines,)

plus the author never made me care that much about her.

(Side note: also, the author managed to hire a really bad female narrator for the audio, and I just couldn't get into her performance. It was also amateurish and just overdramatic...)"
"If you are looking for a very toxic, obsessed dark romance hockey book, this is for you!!
I could never condone Lincoln’s actions in real life, but as a book boyfriend? Sure why not.

"

"THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE!!! i think i’m sick in the head. honestly, truly sick in the head. I forgave Lincoln just as quick as she did…SICK IN THE HEAD. and omg can we talk about HIS TATTOO AND THE PLACEMENT?! i would’ve gave this man a huge knob job after i saw it.

I gave this five stars because this book was MEMORABLE, AMAZING, OUTSTANDING!! books with five stars for me are books i will think about a lot, will look up merch, art, obsess over it. it’s also going to be added to my to read again pile cause ******* AMAZING.
"

"good dark hockey romance. high on insta-love from both sides, which im not a huge fan of.

I felt like a lot of the stalker/obsessive/controlling behavior of lincoln was forced and didnt really have that good of reasoning besides him just like wanting her to be with him constantly. like he sabotaged her living and her work for what? to spend more time with her and risk her figuring that out later? just felt like unnecessary drama a bit.

also her giving into him and realizing she can overlook his psycho qualities after a week is wacked."
