A gripping tale of love, secrets, and betrayal perfect “for fans of Gillian Flynn” (Library Journal, starred review) from the beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author of Verity and It Ends with Us.When Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, their connection defies logic, sparking an instant bond that seems almost too perfect. But perfection often hides cracks, and as their unconventional arrangement unfolds, the pair agrees to meet only once a year on November 9th— with no contact in between. What begins as an intriguing exploration of love and trust quickly turns into something stronger with more twists than either of them imagined. Beneath their romance lies a tense undercurrent and Fallon begins to question Ben’s true intentions. With each passing November, the web of truth and lies grows tighter, and what started as a love story teeters on the edge of obsession. Pulsing with intense chemistry and heart-stopping revelations this riveting novel dares to ask: Can love survive when the truth is the ultimate plot twist?

"I thought the book was good I liked the twists and turns the book had. I definitely was kept interested, but I wouldn’t say they were “couple goals” material. "

"Taking long distance relationships to the next level Ben and Fallon may actually be fated to be together. After being in a terrible fire Fallon is ready to accept her visible scars will never allow her to live life as planned. until she meets Ben, her life still doesn’t go as planned but instead how it was meant to be? The ending the ties these two people is unexpected and shows how scars can be both visible and unseen."
"WOOOOW WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS??? Colleen, how and why you thought this was romantic!?
HOLD THE F*CK UP! How this book for 4 stars on Goodreads is beyond me. (Spoiler) The main guy, Ben did a crime and burn her, ruin her career, ****** up her family dvnamic and then was like yur the only thing that made me happy for the last 2 years?
Cuz he was chicken **** to say anything... HE USE HIS VICTIM TO FEEL LESS GUILTY! I'm sorry what? And he got the audacity to be mad at her for breaking his heart and then go sleeping with his brothers ex
How?? Who likes this book? Yall think it's cute that she ended up with him? He belong behind bars!!!! He is a psychopath! Wake up the f*ck up ladies... this book is NOT okay!!"
"Second book read by Colleen Hoover and even though I wasn't expecting to really enjoy this book, once it started to make me smile, laugh and giggle, I knew it was a good one. The storyline was great and all but the only thing I didn't like was how fast they connected. I did feel frustrated at times with the characters and their decisions. But overall, I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to read another book by Colleen."
"I’m really not into romance novels but I was nicely surprised by this one ! I was emotionally invested in the plot and the characters ! Yes, there were moments when I wanted to throw the book across the room but I borrowed the book so I really couldn’t do THAT😆…really sweet story, of course lots of drama and a happy ending🤓"
"Let me tell you.... Lord this book gave me a migraine, made me smile, gave me the ick, made me roll my eyes and so many more emotions. I can't fathom right now.<br/>The first couple of chapters or so had me disliking both of our MCs. I just found them annoying and childish.. I guess they are supposed to act that way but I'm around the same age as them but I don't act like that. As I read more, Ben just gave me the ick and I hoped it would go away eventually but let me just say.. it doesn't. He's def not high on my "top fictional bf list". I found Fallon annoying at times but I grew to like her a lot. <br/>I loved seeing Miles and Tate again. Comparing Miles and Ben, although I found myself hating them at some parts of the book. Miles did not give me icks at all, just a bunch of red flags LMAO. Benton on the otherhand.... I often thought, "You can def keep him for yourself, Fallon.. He's ALL yours."<br/>Near the end of the book, I found myself skimming and wanting it to end already. Which is a bad sign cuz the end of a book should be the best part, wrapping it all up. I started to get bored and I did not care for the characters backstory at all.... I see both POVs but its just..bleh. All I could say is that they both deserved each other.. maybe Fallon deserved better but, im not here to judge. <br/>Overall okay read. <br/><br/>Now, do I recommend this? <br/>Yes, if you want to pass time. <br/>No, if you're looking for a groundbreaking romance. <br/><br/>November 9: 3.75/5<br/>ROMANCE-3.5/5<br/>CHARACTERS-3.5/5<br/>WRITING-4/5<br/>PLOT-3.9/5<br/>PACING-3.9/5"
"•SPOILER WARNING• I really, REALLY loved this book! I couldn’t stop reading and stayed up way too late in the process. I am happy that Ben and Fallon got their happy ever after but wish we could have got an epilogue of them during the proposal or wedding. I would have taken anything!! I do understand how people can’t look past what Ben did. If this was anything but a fiction book I wouldn’t be okay with it either. But I’ve read some pretty messed up stuff and that didn’t even come close sooo I had to give it a pass. EDIT: I totally forgot to write about Ben and the sister in law’s relationship. I mean no shame to anyone who may have gone through that. But their relationship left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth and I would have 100% been just as ****** or even more so than Fallon. "
