"For me, this was awful. The red herring threw me for a little loop as I did think I was reading the most predictable story ever, but the ending I got instead wasn’t much better. Not sure if I’d rather have a totally predictable ending or one that doesn’t make sense with the details throughout the rest of the story… I’ve got to stop trying to read McFadden’s books because the quality is always underwhelming. "
"Popcorn thriller alert! This book gave me the CREEPS! Short/Multi-POV/tape recording chapters that keep you on your toes and turning pages. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, the rug gets pulled out from underneath you. Some lines felt repetitive and there was a plot hole issue for me in regard to the ending, but for a good majority of the book, I was hooked."
"Disclaimer-Spoilers!!
I strongly dislike when I read a book only to find out that the main character, the one narrating the entire plot, is hiding a major secret. Sure, the signs were there and I see how it makes people want to go back and read, so they can look for the clues. The biggest thing for me was that nothing was really addressed about how fundamentally unhealthy Dr. Hale was in her thinking process. I know this book is about liars but it really ****** me off not hearing from the POV of a single honest person. This whole book was a red flag lol. I’d love to get down to the details but I’d basically be writing a paper on it. So I’ll leave it at this. I don’t know if this book is truly that good or just so full of holes. Either way, it kept me on my toes from the beginning and ****** me off in all the right ways. "
"I read in one sitting! Kindof predictable ish and I also thought a lot of it was overly dramatic but I sped through it and enjoyed it! "

"I'm a huge fan of Freida McFadden. I was a little disappointed in the beginning because I felt I had predicted the books easily. However, I'm glad I continued to read on and I'm so glad I did. The twists were worth it. I was instantly sucked in and couldn't put it down. Highly recommend "
