"Here's another book that could determine my friendships. You don't have to like this book to be my friend, but if you dislike it then we are not meant to be...and I probably dislike you.

I don't care if the twist was predictable --- I loved it and the adventure there and back!"
"4/5 ⭐️ There’s just something about Beth O’Leary’s writing. She is such a unique author in ways I sometimes love and others that don’t always fully work for me. This follows a couple that plan on having a one night stand on a house boat and end up stranded in the middle of the ocean. The plot of this is kind of bonkers, so this is only meant for people who can suspend their disbelief, however once you get over that, this is such a good time! I’m not a fan of age gap romances, and I didn’t love the ways that fully played out, but there was a lot I loved about the romance and characters in general. They both felt like such vibrant people with realistic struggles and desires. I loved how we saw the development of trust and friendship between these two very different people. We saw them support each other as they both grew into their own which felt so wholesome. I had accidentally spoiled the third act conflict for myself by opening to the wrong page, which I think was a good thing for me because it might have frustrated me if I had been blindsided by it. But because I knew it was coming I didn’t really hate it, and all in all I really enjoyed this. It was entertaining and also made me feel things, and I don’t know what more you can really ask for."
