From the bestselling author of How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf comes the first book in the hilarious and charming Half-Moon Hollow series—a quirky paranormal romance about a no-nonsense vampire concierge and a dangerously attractive vampire with a deadly problem.Iris Scanlon, the only daytime vampire concierge in Half-Moon Hollow, has seen more of the undead than she ever wanted. Handling their daylight errands—from letting in the plumber to picking up chilled Faux Type O—has shown her that being a vampire isn’t all dark glamour. Her rules are simple: keep relationships strictly professional, avoid friendships, and never, ever fall for a vampire. Then Iris finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and everything changes. Cal—handsome, infuriating, and utterly impossible—offers her a generous fee to hide him while they hunt down whoever wants him permanently dead. Despite his imperious attitude and inability to distinguish between “employee” and “servant,” Iris agrees. But as the danger mounts, she finds herself breaking more and more of her own rules…especially the ones about romance. With its perfect mix of humor, mystery, and sizzling chemistry, The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires is a must-read for fans of paranormal romantic comedy, small-town supernatural stories, and anyone who loves a fresh, funny take on vampire romance.

"The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires by Molly Harper *****/*****
#AudibleCredit #Reviews

Triggers:
Troupes: Vampires

The Magic of Molly Harper strikes again. This book is the start of a spin off series from her Jane Jameson series. While I dearly Loved the Jane Jameson series, I think I loved this series more since we get to see new couples fall in love in every book and Dick and Jane (my two favorite characters). This first book focuses on Iris, who we met in the last Jane Jameson, which was just a perfect way to introduce a series!

I adore Iris and Gigi, Cal is okay. Honestly Cal was one of my least favorite heroes but I have read the rest of this series and I grow to love him. (Yes we get to see all of the older people a lot since they all become family!) Cal was just a little too detached and controlling for my liking but I think his interactions with Gigi were just adorable and my absolute favorites. I really liked Iris but I wish she was closer to Jane and family, I know that they do become closer later on in other books so that mollifies me.

I love the way vampires came out to the public in this story, it was hilarious. I enjoy the backwoods setting and how they are always making jokes about how country they are. I think making the Council the enemy is brilliant and going to be a trend since there are more members of the Council. I can’t wait to read Ophelia’s book and Gigi’s book.

Ebook: https://www.amazon.com/Care-Feeding-Stray-Vampires-Hollow-ebook/dp/B007BPD2NE/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=the+care+and+feeding+of+stray+vampires&qid=1633696604&s=digital-text&sr=1-3
Audiobook: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Care-and-Feeding-of-Stray-Vampires-Audiobook/B008PEB3HM?qid=1633696645&sr=1-1&ref=a_search_c3_lProduct_1_1&pf_rd_p=83218cca-c308-412f-bfcf-90198b687a2f&pf_rd_r=433FD542VWSRDACMRFZM
Author’s Website: https://www.mollyharper.com/
Goodreads:"

"I really liked this book and appreciated the characters as well as plot points. The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it felt like I started a series in the middle but this is the first book in the series. I thought that was a little annoying.
I guess I needed more back story on the main character's friends in town. I like this author and the way the she writes but I feel like this book could have been better with a bit more information from the supporting characters."
