"It wasn't quite as hot and bothered as I was hoping but I liked that there was a story to it and not just straight up **** the entire book. Maybe it's more of a slow burn throughout the series, I was hoping for a bit more smutty moments. I was not a fan of all of the redundant statements about the character development. The author constantly reminds you that these two guys are mob bosses, they're dangerous, we have to protect her, the family is at war...etc. Constant reminding. I finally got some action towards the end and just a little bit in the middle when she was kidnapped. I was also hoping the main character would at least make an escape attempt. I just love a good cat and mouse chase scene but was disappointed when she didn't cross that line because she was too intimidated by Marco. But I wanted more action and adventure with more sexy scenes but I didn't quite get it. Idk if I'll continue the series but if I do I hope what I'm expecting more of is within the rest of the trilogy."
