One of Amazon's Best Romances of December · An Indie Next Pick · A December LibraryReads Pick · A Shondaland Best Book of December The Renaissance Faire is on the move, and Lulu and Dex are along for the ride, in the next utterly charming rom-com from Jen DeLuca. A high-powered attorney from a success-oriented family, Louisa "Lulu" Malone lives to work, and everything seems to be going right, until the day she realizes it’s all wrong. Lulu’s cousin Mitch introduced her to the world of Renaissance Faires, and when she spies one at a time just when she needs an escape, she leaps into the welcoming environment of turkey legs, taverns, and tarot readers. The only drawback? Dex MacLean: a guitarist with a killer smile, the Casanova of the Faire… and her traveling companion for the summer. Dex has never had to work for much in his life, and why should he? Touring with his brothers as The Dueling Kilts is going great, and he always finds a woman at every Faire. But when Lulu proves indifferent to his many plaid charms and a shake-up threatens the fate of the band, Dex must confront something he never has before: his future. Forced to spend days and nights together on the road, Lulu’s interest in the kilted bad boy grows as he shows her a side of himself no one else has seen. The stresses of her old lifestyle fade away as she learns to trust her intuition and follow her heart instead of her head. But when her time on the road is over, will Lulu go with her gut, or are she and Dex destined for separate paths?

"WHEW when I tell you I love this series AH! I’m really glad we got to learn more about Dex in this book! those kilted men AH! I really liked Lulu and Dex’s personal journeys in this book and also obviously their romantic one!! Although the ending was happy - idk I felt like their solution seemed a little forced? I felt like with the other couples in the series everything flowed easily in the end but with Dex and Lulu it seemed like they were giving up as much as they were gaining - but ig that’s just real life. All in all, loved this one! sweet and a bit spicy with some really lovable characters!!"
"I was anticipating this book like no other and it didn’t disappoint! I love Jen DeLuca’s books because they give us a little escape and the plot is just right. Not too spicy, not too dragged out and not too anxiety provoking lol "

"Jen DeLuca’s writing is just the epitome of cozy! This book is sweet, funny, and romantic. I loved getting to know Lulu and Dex. The Renaissance Faire setting is so magical as always and I loved the new fortune teller characters. I would have loved even more one on one moments between the two main characters, but I love that Lulu had her own individual journey and growth. Just the kind of book that I want to hug when I’m finished!"
"Luv this series!!"

"The Ren-Faire Lothario gets his own happy ending.

It's definitely a good culmination book to the entire series. We get to see Simon & Emily's HEA, Daniel & Stacey's HEA, April & Mitch's sarcasm-fueled HEA and then this story with LuLu & Dex. This book is good because it's about finding yourself when everything else is exploding around you and sometimes, it's not where you'd expect it. LuLu quits her job after being burnt out and finds herself traveling with the Dueling Kilts at the Ren-Faire circuit. LuLu is definitely taking her corporate knowledge and applying it well and Dex is being Dex, until LuLu whips him into shape. Mitch, as always, is ADORABLE in this book and I love the key part that Benedick plays in helping LuLu find her peace.

There wasn't really that zshush factor with this book that made it amazing - it's really just a good bookend to the series. I liked it."
"3/5 ⭐️ The settings of Jen DeLuca’s Renaissance Faire books are always fun, but I didn’t really connect with this romance as much as some others in this series. This is a forced proximity/friends to lovers romance with a playboy male lead. Because it was only the female lead’s perspective throughout the book and it was a slower burn, I didn’t feel like I knew the male lead at all. Even though I didn’t like the way they got together, I did like what their relationship grew into (though the conclusion was a bit abrupt). It also had some fortune telling woven into the plot which I didn’t really think was necessary. All in all, I liked this book but didn’t love it."
