Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny

"I watched this a couple of years ago, long after the first film. I was happy that Netflix respected the quality of the original film, and wanted to continue this story. I love Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh as both actors and action martial artists. This plot is actually a continuation of the first film. Michelle has a debt to repay to her Master and friend. There is a sort of continuation of the romance in the first movie, but I enjoyed the first film much more. That being said, as always, the cast, wardrobe, action sequences, and fight scenes are great and well choreographed. Mandarin audio. "

"Got caught up in a rewatch of the original and forgot how good it was. The choreographer in that one directs this one. While tonally completely different, this was really good. Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeo kicking ass in that PG-13, highly choreographed way. Only it’s really works here because this had to have had a huge budget. Unique in that’s it’s a true English speaking movie. Super exciting, absolutely fantastic, mostly bloodless battles and everyone flying around every which way. Wide open for another sequel but this was 2016 so that doesn’t seem likely. "
